Most recent exhibition.
My coptic inspired work was exhibited at Heaton Moor United Church as part of the Heatons Art Trail  . There were over 130 visitors and lots of interest. See photos in Gallery.

I am a multifaceted textile artist, working with Embroidery machines.

I am available for technical advice, workshops, commissions and Embroidery digitising as well as Exhibiting and selling work.

Educated at Manchester Polytechnic. Embroidery BA (hons). (Now Manchester school of Art). After graduating I became a self employed ladies Tailor and shop owner, for 18 years in Copenhagen, Denmark.

For over 14 years I was a technical advisor on the Embroidery Course (now Textiles in practice) at Manchester School of Art.
During this time I had the opportunity to work with, induct students onto and maintain one of the best (if not the best) embroidery machine collection in the UK, which includes many different Cornelys, Irish, Omni stitch, embellishers, Faggotter, as well as digital Industrial and Domestic systems. The latest acquisition was a large quilting machine and frame system.

I have had the opportunity to work with many talented students and textile artists such as Alice Kettle, Judy Barry, Isabel Dibden Wright, Melanie Miller, Lynn Setterington, Jane McKeating, and Nigel Hurlstone to name only a few.

Mechanical drawing project 3

A few years ago I started to get interested in Coptic textiles and have created a range of wall pieces, inspired by them. This collection is well suited to be exhibited in Museums that house Coptic textiles, or have some connection to them.

Red Pheonix

My latest work is evolving into a collection of wall pieces using mainly machine embroidery, inspired by every day events, observing lights and reflections, with the intension to exhibit and sell.

Stocky road

My latest commercial project is a new website where I intend to take commissions for machine embroidered labels.www.embroideredlabels.co.uk.
